Morena Baccarin was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on June 2, 1979. When she was 7 her and her brothers and parents moved from Brazil to New York where she was raised. She attended The Juilliard School. She is best known to romance fans for her roles in the short-lived TV series Firefly, its big-screen sequel, Serenity, as well as the two terminal seasons of Stargate SG-1 and the subsequent movie The Ark of Truth.
